I’m so glad you’re here.

This isn’t a medical program, and I’m not a dietitian.
This is simply my story, the one I wish I could have found when I needed it most.

In February 2023, I donated blood. I expected to bounce back quickly, but my energy never returned. Months later, on August 28, 2023, I received an iron infusion to try to regain my strength.

Instead of feeling better, the next two weeks sent my body into a spiral I never saw coming.

Suddenly, I was dealing with exhaustion, bloating, brain fog, cravings, discomfort and a long list of symptoms that made me feel like a stranger in my own skin.

The hardest part? No one could tell me why.

Doctor after doctor. Specialist after specialist.

What was supposed to help me left me feeling worse, and I realized I would have to find my own way forward and still no answers a year later.

So, I did what many of us do, I went down the Google rabbit hole.
Researching. Reading. Digging.

Because I knew something wasn’t right.

But every doctor told me the same thing:

“It’s just life.”
“You’re postmenopausal.”
“Learn to live with it.”

That answer didn’t sit right with me.
I wasn’t willing to accept that this was my new normal.

That’s when I found Vibrant Health for Life and met Rick and Paula de Govia.

On my first visit, Paula handed me a checklist titled 100 Common Candida Symptoms. As I read down the list, I felt seen. Almost every box applied to me.

That day everything changed.

I had a live blood analysis done. Seeing things in real time gave me clarity that I had been missing. My symptoms weren’t “just life.” Something deeper was going on.

That was the beginning of my holistic journey.

Within 90 days of committing fully and consistently, I felt like a completely different person.

I started learning.
I started listening to my body.
And I began changing the way I ate, slowly, consistently, gently.

I focused on whole foods.
I eliminated sugars, caffeine, and processed foods. 
I simplified my meals.
I cooked for myself with intention, because cooking became grounding when everything else felt uncertain.

Over time, things shifted.

Today, I can say none of those boxes are checked.
My energy is back.
My clarity is back.
My life is back.

Because I struggled to find clear, supportive information at the beginning of my journey, I created The Candida Recipe Kitchen to share the meals that supported me, simple recipes that brought structure, comfort, and control when everything felt overwhelming.

You don’t need perfection.
You need consistency, patience, and kindness toward yourself.
